Pro God

I believe there is one God. The God of the Bible. I also believe that our rights come from our Creator, not from government, and it is the sole job of government to protect our rights. In 2020 Laura Kelly shut down churches on Easter Sunday. This type of government overreach can never be allowed to happen again in Kansas. Kansans should be able to uphold their deeply held religious convictions without fear of government interference.

I also believe that Satan is real and that he is on the move pushing forward as the church of Jesus Christ takes a back seat to culture. It is time for us to advance and take the fight to them instead of reacting. It is time for us to share the Gospel with our neighbors. Democrats are not the enemy… they are our mission field. We have the Holy Spirit and if God is with us who can stand against us!

In the end we will be victorious because conservatives have an overwhelming percentage of the children in part because of abortion and homosexuality. The only way the left can pass their values on to the next generation is by grooming our children. That is why they are bringing critical gender theory and safe spaces to kindergarteners. If they don’t indoctrinate our children their ideas will die with this generation... as they should.

I saw this first hand when I was on the Haven School Board and led the fight to keep the gay and trans agenda out of our elementary schools. Yes… they were targeting Yoder Charter School and tried to keep it from the parents. This is unacceptable. All conversations about gender should take place between parents and children exclusively. Schools and teachers have no right to secretly groom our children and tell them to keep it a secret from their parents. They are our children and we must take back our schools.

Pro Life

Because of our liberal supreme court Kansas has the least restrictive abortion laws of any state… even New York and California. A mother can literally carry twins to full term, have one, and then legally kill the other before it is born.

Our state supreme court found that a woman’s right to happiness guaranteed in our state constitution is dependent on her being able to kill her child while it is still in her belly… even if it can survive outside her body. This is an abomination and evil on so many levels… and it must stop!

August 2, 2022 we have a change to change that with a YES vote. A yes vote will amend the Kansas constitution so that there is no right to abortion contained therein and give control of abortion restrictions to the people’s representatives… not to a group of lawyers in black robes in Topeka.

I am proud and unashamed to be 100% pro-life!

Make sure to vote YES to the value them both amendment August 2nd, 2022

Pro Gun

The second amendment was included in the bill of rights so the government would fear the people the represented. An armed society is a polite society.

We have seen all over the world that countries that disarmed their population also took away their rights on a whim. We have also seen that we cannot always rely on local police to save us as police stood outside for 70 minutes while a gunman in Uvalde, Texas murdered children and teachers. Parents who attempted to go in and save their children were detained and handcuffed and it was only because 2 brave induvial disobeyed orders and stopped the gunman that this tragedy ended.

Ever notice how all mass shootings take place in gun free zones? We need to continue to expand gun rights including replacing the signs on the front entrance of every Kansas school that currently says “No one inside is armed so if you bring in a gun you will face very little resistance.” with signs that say “Any attempt to murder the people herein will be met with deadly force. School employees are armed and will protect our students.”

"Our safety, our liberty depends on preserving the Constitution of the United States as our fathers made it inviolate. The people of the U.S. are the rightful masters of both Congress and the courts - Not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitution." — Abraham Lincoln

Fighting for FREEDOM

Pro Freedom

There is a lot to unpack here. Freedom is a big deal and the government has taken so much of it that there is a lot to cover…

YOU CAN SPEND YOUR MONEY BETTER THAN THE GOVERNMENT CAN:

In a free society your success depends on how well you serve others. To survive and to flourish individuals need to engage in economic activity. The right to property also includes the right to exchange property with others voluntarily so that all parties benefit. Free markets are the economic system of free individuals, and they are necessary to create wealth.

When government forces economic activity by stealing money through taxes, fines, fees or other such means the government has no obligation to spend the money in ways that benefits all parties. Since governments hold a monopoly on force if they decide they want to spend more money than they already took they can just decide to take more money through higher taxes. If you do not voluntarily give them all the money they require they have the power to assault you, steal your property or assets, and lock you in a cage.

I believe that people will be both freer and more prosperous if government intervention in people's economic choices is minimized and voluntary exchanges of property are allowed to flourish.

"There are two distinct classes of men in the nation, those who pay taxes, and those who receive and live upon the taxes." - Thomas Paine

"We have more machinery of government than is necessary, too many parasites living on the labor of the industrious." – Thomas Jefferson

IF THERE IS NO VICTIM THERE IS NO CRIME:

Government has an incentive to enforce victimless crimes such as a driver going 41 MPH on a road where the speed limit is 35… even if there have been no other vehicles on that road for 10 minutes. Why? Because by pulling you over they are making the government money.

By eliminating the ability for local government to profit from enforcing arbitrary or unjust laws out wonderful police officers will be freed up to protect and serve instead of being forced to write tickets.

If the punishment is a fine the law only applies to the poor.

FREEDOM OF SPEECH:

Offensive speech is the only speech that needs protecting. While our first amendment does a great job of protecting us from the government, increasingly large corporations and social media sites located in places that do not share our Kansas values have started to penalize individuals for saying things they do not agree with.

People are being banned from the public square and their ability to function in society as free individuals is at risk by companies that have a virtual monopoly on how we communicate and spend money. People that disagree with me or you should not be banned from expressing themselves or stripped of their right to exchange property because they use speech that is protected by our first amendment.

YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO STUPID THINGS:

I believe Kansans have the right to do things the government thinks will harm them and that the government should not be able to assault you, steal your money, and lock you in a cage if you are not harming someone else.

If a person is a drug addict they can get help and becomes a productive member of society again.

If, on the other hand, that same person is given a criminal record because their friend accidentally dropped marijuana in their vehicle, for example, the government will take his property and lock him in a cage. When he finally reenters society he will have a hard time finding a job because of that criminal record.

Which person is better off?

I personally do not smoke, drink, or use any illegal drugs, but whenever possible I will vote to protect Kansan’s right to do things that the government thinks are harmful as long as there are no victims.

PROTECTING YOUR PRIVACY:

The authors of our Bill of Rights included the Fourth Amendment because they knew that one of the best protections against tyranny is to limit the government’s power to search its citizens.

Advancements in technology have given the government and a small number of companies the ability to collect so much data on every individual that, if they chose to, they could cause significant harm to any individual that they disagree with… and they have the ability to preserver this data in their systems forever.

Kansans should have the ability to limit the amount of data the government and large companies collect on them and be able to force them to delete that data after a specified period of time.

CIVIL ASSET FORFEITURE:

Civil asset forfeiture is a process in which law enforcement officers take cash, property, or other assets from law abiding persons “suspected” of involvement with crime or illegal activity without necessarily charging the owners with wrongdoing.

Civil asset forfeiture involves a dispute between law enforcement and property such as a pile of cash, a house, a car, or a boat, such that the thing is suspected of being involved in a crime.

The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution states that no person shall 'be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law. Since the property owner is not a party in the case they must prove the property was not involved in the “suspected criminal activity.” Their property is guilty until proven innocent and belongs to the government even if the property owners were never charged with a crime. This gives governments a huge incentive to legally steal your property by suspecting anything of value is “involved in a crime.”

We must end Civil Asset Forfeiture in Kansas!
